i prefer this one to the other pyramid shot you have displayed in your gallery; this one has a batter balance & the pyramid has some space to breathe... that trip must have been AMAZING! good work. oh, and by the way, how long were you there and how'd your camera fare? cheers, marc

I've got multiple shots of those glorious pyramids, but this is one of my favs, too. :-) This was my last shot before moving on. Normally my earlier shots are my best, which has always seemed backwards to me. Oh well!

Egypt was absolutely incredible. I waffled on going for quite some time. I nearly went a year ago, and by the time I had cemented the plan to go, the airfare had gone up quite a bit and I decided to do it later. This year I decided you never know when you'll run out of chances and just chucked it. I did an Intrepid Travel tour, which is built up around backpackers. It's Aussie based. I will totally travel with them again some day.

It was only a bit over two weeks. My camera had no issues. I didn't do a ton of lens changes, though. I think as much sand as there was, this was a good thing.

=D

yeah, i'm only bringing one lens for this exact reason. 18-250... should keep me coved for the majority of the shots i want to take. i'm sure there will be an occasional "shit i wish i brought a wide angle" but i don't need to take any risks destroying my camera--especially since there's no way in hell i can afford another one for a while!
